Mudslides in Mexico
If you watch headline news or any news you have probably heard about the mudslides in Mexico. The town I read about had just suffered through a hurricane and a tropical storm. Now it suffered through a mudslide. Ahora el número de muertos es hasta el 23 con 9 personas siguen desaparecidas. I can't even imagine going through one of those disasters let alone all three! Here is the link to the story if you would like to read more about it. Mudslide News Link

Mexican Independance Day
I was reading earlier about the Mexican Independance Day that is celebrated on the 16th of September every year and the types of activities that they do on that day. It was pretty interesting to read about. This year they celebrated 200 years of Independance from Spanish rule. También celebró 100 años de su revolución. That revolution started in 1910 when they took down Porfirio Diaz.

Weather in Cozumel
My parents went to Cozumel for their anniversary this weekend. Apparently the weather has been good, but a little stormy. The times I've been to Cozumel the weather has been muy bien! They said there aren't many tourist there at this time of year so it has been a good vacation. I wish I could be there even if the weather is questionable.
Espanol and the Doctor
I went to the doctor at 9:00 yesterday morning and I told him I was trying to learn Spanish. He asked if I knew any medical terms yet. Surprisingly I did know some. So I told him, "Me duele mi pie." He was quite impressed that I actually knew something in Spanish. But actually I wasn't even sure if I said it right...either way it worked out.
